Public membership
A member may choose to show a name, research areas, selected work, and a statement of RIFOR affiliation. Every field should be accurate and consented to.
Privacy by choice
Research identity should not require total public exposure.
All memberships include the choice to remain private at no extra cost. You decide whether to publish a profile and which research details appear.
Private membership
RIFOR can maintain a private record and supply the agreed affiliation and email without publishing a public profile or unnecessary identifying detail.
Minimum necessary information
Applications ask for a concise research context and one or more signals that help assess legitimacy. RIFOR should request further evidence only when needed for the membership requested, anti-fraud controls, payment, or legal obligations.
Application handling
Web applications are stored privately in Cloudflare D1 for RIFOR to review. Your application reference is shown on screen; the website does not send automatic emails. Application text, names, email addresses and research links are not included in our application analytics events.
Cloudflare Turnstile checks submissions for abuse. Only authorized RIFOR operators should access application records. To request a correction or deletion, email info@rifor.org from your application address. Please send public research links rather than identity documents or confidential manuscripts.
Corrections, removal, and disclosure
- Members can request corrections to material inaccuracies in public records.
- Public profiles can be withdrawn when membership ends, subject to any clearly stated archival record.
- RIFOR should disclose information only when the member has agreed or when required by law.
- Confidentiality does not protect fraud, harassment, research misconduct, or other misuse of the service.
